Luka's Brave Battle Against Aggressive Brain Tumor

A Journey of Hope for Luka
On Sunday, November 3rd, our family's world was turned upside down. My great nephew Luka, a vibrant and joyful three-year-old boy, was diagnosed with an aggressive tumor on his brain stem. It's the kind of news that no family is ever prepared for, a shock that leaves you grappling for understanding and searching for hope amidst the uncertainty.
Luka has always been a source of light in our lives, bringing smiles and laughter with his infectious energy and boundless curiosity. To see him now, fighting this unexpected battle, is heart-wrenching. Yet, amidst the fear and the unknown, our family is rallying together, drawing strength from each other and from the incredible community around us.
Luka's mother, Emmi, and his grandmother, Starr, are by his side every moment during this discovery phase. As we navigate the days ahead, filled with medical appointments, treatments, and moments of both hope and hardship, we are reminded of the power of love and support. Our little warrior Luka is facing this with a bravery that inspires us all, and we are determined to give him every chance to overcome this.
We are currently awaiting Luka's biopsy results. In the meantime, he will be undergoing radiation five days a week for the next six weeks. We are reaching out to you, our friends, family, and compassionate strangers, to join us in this fight. Your support, whether through donations, sharing our story, or keeping us in your thoughts and prayers, means more than words can express. Every bit helps us move closer to giving Luka the care he needs and the hope he deserves. Donations will help Luka and his family pay for medical expenses, hotels, food, and gas as they travel over three hours for his care.
The family will update this page with news as it comes in and as we have time to process and make decisions for Luka. Thank you for being part of this journey with us. Your kindness and generosity will never be forgotten, and together, we can help Luka overcome this challenge and continue to shine his light on the world.
With heartfelt gratitude,
The Family of Luka
