With heavy hearts, we share the passing of our beloved grandmother, Luisa Matos Rivas. She was the heart of our family—a woman of strength, love, and resilience who dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren. She carried our family through life’s struggles with unwavering faith and kindness, always putting others before herself.

Now, in this moment of sorrow, we face the difficult task of fulfilling her final wish: to be laid to rest in her homeland, the Dominican Republic. The cost of transportation, funeral arrangements, and related expenses are overwhelming, and we humbly ask for your help in making this possible.

Queridos amigos y comunidad,

Con profundo dolor compartimos la noticia del fallecimiento de nuestra amada abuela, Luisa Matos Rivas. Ella fue el alma de nuestra familia—una mujer de fortaleza, amor y resiliencia que dedicó su vida a sus hijos y nietos. Nos guió con su fe inquebrantable y su inmensa bondad, siempre poniendo a los demás antes que a sí misma.

Hoy, en medio de esta tristeza, nos enfrentamos a la difícil tarea de cumplir su último deseo: ser sepultada en su tierra natal, la República Dominicana. Los costos de traslado, arreglos fúnebres y demás gastos son abrumadores, y humildemente les pedimos su ayuda para hacerlo posible.
