Estamos recaudando fondos para Luis, quien es esposo y padre de 2 hijos y ha estado detenido en el centro de detención de Adelanto desde Septiembre. Es un mexicano que vive en el condado de Los Ángeles desde hace casi 2 décadas, y fue secuestrado por ICE mientras echaba gasolina camino al trabajo. Tiene un historial completamente limpio y ha llegado por todas las maneras correctas de establecer su residencia en los Estados Unidos, pero su abogado anterior lo estafó, no reunió la documentación adecuada para él, lo cortó y se llevó todo su dinero. Él ha tenido que gastar miles para ese abogado y el que tiene ahora, está teniendo un gran costo financiero para él y su esposa que está enfermo. Queremos apoyarlo a él y a su familia mientras continúan luchando esta costosa batalla y para mantenerse a sí mismos. Por favor, apoyar a Luis y su familia!

Además, en cuanto a su condición actual, ha señalado que en el centro de detención de Adelanto les están dando porciones de comida muy escasas, sin ningún tipo de sazón, y que no tiene oportunidades ni siquiera de aceptar las formas explotadoras de trabajo mal remunerado que hemos visto que otros detenidos realizan. También dijo que escuchan todas las llamadas telefónicas y que cortan la línea en cuanto uno menciona las condiciones del detención, además de suspender el derecho a hacer llamadas durante una semana como castigo. Luis también ha sufrido fuertes dolores de cabeza, por los cuales ha solicitado atención médica, pero sus solicitudes siguen siendo ignoradas por el personal médico del detención.

He aquí algunas palabras de su amada esposa: "Luis es un buen hombre, pero le siguen sucediendo cosas horribles. Estoy realmente enojado con el gobierno. Luis no se merece esto, ya ha pasado por tanto. Le quiero muchísimo, me cuesta mucho vivir sin él."

We are seeking to raise funds for Luis, who is a husband and father of 2 who has been detained at Adelanto Detention Center since September. He's a Mexican national living in LA county for almost 2 decades now, who got kidnapped while getting gas on the way to work. He has a completely clean record and has gone through all the right pathways to establish residence in the US; however, his previous lawyer scammed him, failed to collect the necessary documentation, abruptly cut off communication, and took all of his money. He's had to spend thousands on legal fees for that lawyer, as well as his current one, and it is taking a big financial toll, as his wife who is currently ill. We want to support him and his family as they continue to fight the expensive legal battle as well as continuing to support themselves. Please support Luis and his family if you can!

Additionally, as regards his current condition, he has said that the facility at ADC has been giving paltry portions for food with no seasoning and no opportunities for him to even take up the exploitative forms of wage labor we have seen other detainees take up. He also said they listen to all of your phone calls and cut off the line as soon as you bring up the conditions at the facility, and they will suspend you from making calls for a week as punishment. Luis has also experienced severe headaches, for which he has requested medical attention, but his requests continue to be ignored by the medical staff at ADC.
