Hello, my name is Michelle, and this is my dad, Luis.

The past six months have been incredibly difficult for our family. My dad has liver cirrhosis caused by hemochromatosis, a blood disorder, despite never drinking or smoking. His condition has worsened over the years, leading to frequent ER visits and even an ICU stay when his ammonia levels became dangerously high.

He currently does not qualify for a transplant, and we now spend time at the hospital every week to have fluid drained from his abdomen. Because of his health, he can no longer work, and our family has had to miss work often to care for him and take him to appointments.

Medical bills and everyday expenses have become overwhelming, and we are also struggling to afford groceries during this time.
