Our family is going through the hardest time right now. Luis Sanchez—a devoted husband, loving father, and hardworking man—is currently in the ICU in a medically induced coma.

What started as viral bumps has quickly turned into a devastating medical crisis. Luis developed sepsis, diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), and severe pancreatitis, which then led to pneumonia, a staph infection, and now serious complications with his kidneys and liver. On top of that, he is currently fighting another infection that doctors are still working hard to identify and treat. These complications are what led to Luis being placed in a medically induced coma so his body can fight and heal.

Luis has always been someone who works tirelessly to provide for his family. He’s full of love and humor, always ready to make people laugh and bring joy. Now, he needs all of us to stand behind him as he fights for his life.

His wife, Katherine, is doing everything she can—caring for their young son, Jeremy (who requires weekly doctor visits), balancing school and work, and staying by Luis’s side as much as possible. With Luis being the family’s main source of income, the financial strain is overwhelming. To make matters worse, Katherine is waiting on Luis’s paycheck, but his account is currently locked, leaving her without access to the income their family depends on. Meanwhile, medical bills, utilities, and daily expenses continue to pile up.

We are asking for help from friends, family, and our community during this incredibly difficult time. Every donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward medical costs, household bills, and caring for Jeremy while Luis continues his fight to recover.
