Support Luis in His Fight Against Prostate Cancer

El Sr. Luis Osorio fue tratado el año pasado por un médico Urólogo debido a una Prostatitis. Tras varios exámenes y un tratamiento, se le realizó una biopsia de próstata, donde fue diagnosticado con Adenocarcinoma Prostático moderadamente diferenciado, Gleason 7 (4+3).

Con este diagnóstico, fue remitido inmediatamente a un médico Oncólogo, quien evaluó los estudios de PETCT PSMA y RM multiparamétrica de próstata. Inició su tratamiento de supresión hormonal con tabletas de Goserelina 10.8 mg y Bicalutamida 50 mg, que ya ha completado.

Para erradicar el cáncer, deberá someterse a una nueva fase de tratamiento. Su médico lo ha referido al servicio de Radioterapia, donde se le aplicará la técnica VMAT PTV_7200 cGy en fracciones de 250 cGy/día.

Dado lo urgente del tratamiento y la falta de recursos financieros, decidí abrir una campaña en GoFundMe en su nombre, ya que no cuenta con seguro médico y los gastos iniciales han sido elevados.

Mr. Luis was treated last year by a urologist due to prostatitis. After several exams and treatment, he underwent a prostate biopsy, where he was diagnosed with moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma of the prostate, Gleason 7 (4+3).

With this diagnosis, he was immediately referred to an oncologist, who evaluated the PETCT PSMA studies and multiparametric MRI of the prostate. He started his hormone suppression treatment with Goserelin 10.8 mg tablets and Bicalutamide 50 mg, which he has already completed.

To eradicate the cancer, he will undergo a new phase of treatment. His doctor has referred him to the Radiotherapy service, where the VMAT technique will be applied with PTV_7200 cGy in fractions of 250 cGy/day.

Given the urgency of the treatment and the lack of financial resources, I decided to open a GoFundMe campaign in his name, as he does not have health insurance and the initial expenses have been high.
