“SUPPORT LUIS’S STROKE RECOVERY JOURNEY”

"Hi, my name is Shi, and I'm fundraising for my dear friend Luis Guerra. He recently suffered a serious stroke that has profoundly changed his life".

On November 24th, Luis experienced a life-changing medical emergency. After being rushed to the hospital, doctors determined Luis suffered a serious stroke and brain bleed. He now lives with slight aphasia (a language disorder from brain damage that impairs speaking, understanding, reading, or writing, but doesn't affect intelligence; it's caused by blocked or ruptured blood vessels cutting off oxygen to language centers) and left-side paralysis, making him unable to work, stand or drive.

Luis, Emily, his wife, and their two daughters, Brooklyn & Camila, are cherished by so many. I’ve created this fundraiser to provide practical and emotional support during this incredibly challenging time. The funds raised will help alleviate the financial burden of Luis’s medical expenses, rehabilitation therapy, and other unforeseen costs, allowing Emily to focus on his recovery without the added stress of financial worries.

Luis has always been a source of strength, kindness, and humor to those around him. Now it’s our turn to rally around him and his family with the love and support they need.
