Our friend, Luis Figueroa, and his family recently experienced the devastating loss of their home due to a house fire during a severe winter storm that impacted much of the country. Tragically, extreme weather conditions caused emergency response delays, and by the time help arrived, the home could not be saved—through no fault of their own. Preliminary reports indicate the fire may have originated from an attic electrical issue.

While we are deeply grateful that Luis and his family are safe, the loss of their home is heartbreaking. Luis is a devoted husband and father, a loyal friend, and someone who has spent his life serving others. He honorably served over 20 years in the United States Air Force and has continued serving our country for 23 years since his retirement. He is the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back without hesitation, always placing others before himself.
