Funeral & Burial Expenses

Hi, I'm Cyndy Miguel, fundraising for my dad, Luis Miguel. I'm starting this account to help alleviate some of the financial stress he shouldn't have to endure during his cancer treatment.

A little bit about my dad: He is 65 years old, head of household, a line cook at Swingers Restaurant in Hollywood, with a hard-working spirit who loves to have a good time! Over the last 20 years, he has been a part of the Swingers family; he has met/cooked for many amazing people! Even during these trying times, he is happy to go to work and surround himself with the Swingers' Restaurant community!

Six months ago, my dad, Luis went to the doctor for a routine check-up. A few months later, he was diagnosed with aggressive cancer. He was turned away from the hospital due to lack of coverage when seeking treatment.

It is the beginning of his journey seeking treatment and he may have a long road ahead. All funds raised will go to assist my dad financially and his medical needs throughout this battle. Please keep my dad in your prayers and share his story with any friends and/or family. We will be updating this page as his treatment progresses.

Requesting financial help is not his focus at all; he wanted to keep this unfortunate situation to himself. However, I strongly believe the love and support from his friends and family will mean the world to him during these difficult moments. Your love and support will give him so much more strength to keep moving forward during this difficult journey.

UPDATE: Unfortunately, my father passed away early on Monday morning (11/21). He got his surgery on Wednesday (11/16), and it seemed to be a success; however, on Saturday night he experienced unbearable pain that landed him in the hospital, which took an unexpected turn in a matter of hours.

Any monetary support will be significantly appreciated by him and his family!
