Luis has been a longtime cook at Zimmy’s, and his warm presence has been a cornerstone of the community for years. Many of us have shared meals and memories at Zimmy’s, and Luis has always been there, working hard behind the scenes to make everyone feel welcome. Recently, tragedy struck when a fire broke out at Zimmy’s. Luis was inside when an explosion occurred as he entered the basement, resulting in serious burns and respiratory injuries. He is now hospitalized at Bronson Hospital, facing a long and difficult recovery.

While our community mourns the loss of a beloved gathering place, Luis is facing an even greater challenge. The medical expenses, time away from work, and uncertainty about the future have placed a heavy burden on him and his family.
