Ah Ludwig…will he ever learn?

Unfortunately, a similar incident occurred in 2023 where Ludwig ate 3 feet of ribbon and almost died. We have been successful at cat-proofing the house until this year when Ludwig figured out how to open the fridge.

Ludwig had to undergo surgery this Sunday, 12/7, to remove an obstruction from his intestines, saving his life. According to the vet, he ended up eating plastic and a bread tie. ‍♀️

As you may know, living in NYC is NOT cheap. I had to rush him to the regular emergency vet since the low cost vet is closed on Sunday. After all of the procedures, the total cost has come to over $6000.

I’m not it a great financial situation being that I was unemployed for four months after quitting my toxic job. I’ve racked up a fair amount of debt and am struggling to pay it off. My boyfriend and I are making just enough to get by. ANY contribution, no matter what size, would help us out tremendously.

Thank you to everyone who reached out with concern about Ludwig. He’s recovering well and is so happy to be at home. If you know me and Roman, you know our kitties are our life. They are so loved and we would be devastated without them.
