Support Lucy's Recovery from Painful Leg Injury

My name is Kristin & my dog's name is Lucy.

A little background on Lucy:

My boyfriend rescued her from the Mojave Desert last year. Someone had abandoned her and dumped her in the middle of the desert. While in the desert she was hit by a car and her back legs were broken. Her back right leg was the worst as it was shattered in ten places. We brought Lucy to the vet when she arrived home but surgery to correct the breaks was too much for us to pay. We decided to let her leg heal on its own.

So far her leg has healed pretty miraculously. She has been running and jumping and living such an active life this past year.

But then out of nowhere, her back right leg got swollen and is hot to the touch. She isn't eating or drinking. Lucy will not put any weight on her leg and has no energy or strength to even get up and walk around.

I took her to the vet this morning, but had to leave before being seen due to not being able to pay for the visit. I just don't have enough funds right now and wasn't expecting it to be as much as it was estimated to be.

The visit is $35 and for ONE x-ray is $260, but she might have to have multiple x-rays and most likely medication for the swelling.

I am a stay at home mom with no income. I can tell that Lucy is in excruciating pain and it is really breaking my heart not being able to help her.

We would be eternally grateful to anyone who can help her out with donating or even just sharing this.
