My dear housekeeper and friend, Lucy, who many of you know, is safe. She enlightened me that the devastation of the fires in Southern California not only impacted residents and businesses but also many, many individuals who work in various industries like housekeeping, gardening, pool and spa cleaning, nannies, drivers, vendors, and the like. Lucy personally knows over a dozen friends who’ve lost their jobs and have no simple or easy access to income for the foreseeable future. On her behalf, I’ve decided to begin a fundraising campaign to help these desperate families. I commit to donating $5,000 on my own to help in a small way, these individuals and I hope you, as my friend, can help raise another $10,000. This fund will be given to Lucy to distribute as she feels best to her friends and colleagues in need.
