Support Lucy’s Breast Cancer Battle

Today I ask you for your empathy! Please support Lucy Gonzalez-Barr. My beautiful friend of many years, mother of SIX and devoted wife.
“Nothing prepares you for the first time you hear the words, "You have Breast Cancer." When the words "You have Stage 3" drop on you, silence swallows every sound happening around you.” Lucy shares with me.
"I think I can handle the physical stuff, but I don't want to lose my house and my car, my career", “I still need to clean the house get the kids to school, and still pay for treatment.” Lucy told me while trying to keep herself from crying.
This should not be her main concern right now, as she needs to be able to focus on self-care and doing everything, she can to rid her body of cancer. We can all help her do that!
The Diagnosis:
Lucy was recently diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer. She underwent a double mastectomy and then will still need to undergo reconstructive surgery. Based on the results of her breast cancer stage and surgery, Lucy will also need both chemotherapy and radiation, which will require more time off work.
And why help?
If you know Lucy, you know that she is always doing something whether at work or volunteering in the community. If she can focus on her recovery and not have to have the worry of the financial stress it can make a significant impact on her recovery. So, she does not have to worry about going to work or going to treatment taking the time she needs to recover.
This is a long-term process - one that will require additional time off for reconstruction and further treatment and co pays. Some recommended treatment options are not covered by insurance.
Any amount you can give will be a help, and the money will be spent to pay for medical co-pays and necessities so that Lucy can focus on getting well.
