I am very sad. Lucy, who many of you know, and has been the rock in my home for the past 3 years, was diagnosed this month with cancer. During this time, Lucy has shielded my children and I with love, and is one of the main reasons we have been so strong during the loss of my wife Sarah Fernandez Mendoza​ and my sister Beatriz Carmen Mendoza​. She is now very scared and sad, and I would like to help her.

I created this GoFundMe campaign because many of you have told me that you would like to help her too.

She is currently with her children and grandchildren in Milwaukee Wisconsin, and has started chemotherapy to reduce the size of the tumors with the hope that she is eligible for surgery in the next few months.
