Support Lucy in Ice Dancing Her Way to Greatness!

Hi, my name is Lucy Hancock, and I am a 21-year-old internationally ranked ice skater. From a young age, I began my ice skating career in England, U.K. (my home) and earned many British Championship national titles in the ice dance category. Since then, my career has taken me all over the world, where I have competed internationally across Europe, lived and trained in Berlin, Germany, at the age of 16, and now currently live and train in the U.S.

Over the years, I have had truly amazing experiences and many memorable opportunities, such as competing in the FISU World University Winter Games in January 2023, placing 2nd at the Hungarian National Championships, and participating in the European Championships 2024 held in Lithuania! While in America, I also obtained an Associate's Degree in Health and Human Performance and became a certified personal trainer, which led me to work at LEVEL Fitness Club—a job I truly love!

Ice dance has been my dream since I first tried it 13 years ago, and I hope to achieve great success in the sport. My goals include reaching the Winter Olympics and becoming a world-class competitor—hopefully ranking in the top 10! I firmly believe I can make it to the top, but I will need some help along the way.

I have been fortunate to receive a lot of support from my family, who have funded most of my training over the years. However, it was never my intention to keep relying on them. I work hard as a personal trainer to pay for my ice skating training and events, but it is a high-cost sport.

Below is a breakdown of some general costs for my sport:

- Coaching Fees

- Ice time: $200/month

- Skate sharpening: $20/month

- Boots: $600

- Blades: $200

- Dresses: $2,000

- Competitions: $1,500/event (x5)

Any help towards my goals and dreams would mean the world to me and would be greatly appreciated; even the smallest contributions can make a big difference for me and my family.

Skating is my life, and I will continue to work diligently and passionately to make my goals a reality.
