Support Lucy in Honoring Cathy

I am Lucy Gardiner, Cathy's sister. We also had a younger sister and brother. Cathy was a unique and silly person. We grew up strict but we did find ways to get into trouble. We became closer as we got older, I talked and texted to her frequently.

Cathy married young, but it ended in divorce. She did get married again at which time she had a son ,who she loved very much. They later separated when her son was young.She lost touch with him but often talked about him and showed me pictures. She started dating again and met someone, then moved in with him and his family. They later broke up, but she stayed, because she could not afford to move out on her own on what she collected on SSI. I was aware of issues with the arrangement but she really didn't have many choices.

The fire broke out on the first level of the house and she unfortunately was overcome by smoke and got trapped in the dining room. We never talked about her wishes but I plan to do the best I can to honor her. Words cannot express our grief and loss..
