My sweet 6-year-old Yorkie, Lucky, went from a perfectly healthy, energetic dog to suddenly being unable to walk after staying with a dog sitter.
Lucky had a full physical just two weeks before this and was completely healthy. When I picked him up from the sitter, he was heavily sedated, smelled strongly of cleaning chemicals, and could no longer stand or walk.
A veterinary neurologist believes Lucky likely suffered spinal trauma and may have a pinched nerve or herniated disc, injuries that usually occur from physical trauma.
Lucky urgently needs further diagnostics such as an MRI and possibly surgery to give him the chance to walk again. Unfortunately, the testing and treatment costs are extremely expensive and I cannot afford it on my own.
Lucky is more than just a pet, he is my little companion and brings joy to everyone who meets him. Seeing him unable to move has been heartbreaking.
I am asking for help to cover the cost of his diagnostics, treatment, and recovery so he can have the chance to run and play again.
Any donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward Lucky’s medical care. If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser would mean the world to us.
Thank you for helping give Lucky a chance to walk again.
