Lucky and her three young children—her 5-year-old daughter and twin 2-year-old sons, who are my godchildren—are facing an incredibly difficult time. I know Lucky through her husband, and I have seen firsthand how devoted she is to her family. A few months ago, her husband abandoned her and the children, leaving them without support. Just three weeks ago, due to political unrest in Tanzania, Lucky and the kids were forced to flee their home and seek safety in Uganda. They are hoping to return to Tanzania in a month or two when things have settled down, but right now, they are in urgent need of help.

While in Uganda, Lucky and her children need a safe place to stay and the basic necessities to get by. Every dollar raised will go directly towards their rent, food, and utilities, helping them find stability during this uncertain time. The funds will also help them secure a place to live when they are able to return to Tanzania, giving them a fresh start and a safe home.
