Lucky Bug Farm is a farm animal sanctuary based in New Hampshire, dedicated to rescuing and providing lifelong care for animals in need. Since 2022, we’ve offered a safe haven to over 100 animals, including 13 goats, a pig, over 80 chickens, seven quails, two ducks, a 19-year-old turtle, two rabbits, three rescue dogs (a Pitbull, a German Shepherd, and a Chiweenie), and a black cat named Thirteen. Many of these animals come to us after being abandoned or when their previous caretakers can no longer provide for them.
In recent weeks, we’ve taken in six new goats, dumped chickens, a rooster found in the woods, a 19-year-old turtle, and another rabbit. The demand for safe spaces for animals is growing, and with your support, we can continue to meet their needs.
Our $2,000 Goal: How Your Donations Will Be Used
Here’s a detailed breakdown of how we plan to use the funds:
$600 for 501c3 Application: This fee will allow us to officially secure nonprofit status with the IRS, opening doors to additional funding opportunities and long-term growth.
$500 for Expanding the Duck Run and Pond: Ducks are frequently abandoned after being purchased as ducklings, and we need to expand their space and enlarge the pond to provide them with a safe and suitable environment.
$100 for Rabbit Housing: Rabbits are commonly dumped after Easter, and we need to create additional space to house and care for them properly.
$200 for Expanding Chick Housing: Chicks, like rabbits, are often bought impulsively and abandoned. We plan to expand our bird housing to meet the growing need.
$300 for a Larger Goat Barn: With our newly rescued herd of six goats, our goat population has doubled to 13. This requires a much larger barn area to ensure their comfort and safety.
$300 for Feed and Bedding Costs: The cost of hay and grain for our goats has doubled overnight, and bedding is essential for keeping all our animals clean and comfortable, especially during the harsh New Hampshire winters.
Why We Need Your Support
Caring for this growing sanctuary is a full-time effort. Donations go directly to providing food, bedding, veterinary care, and safe shelter for all the animals at Lucky Bug Farm. Your support ensures that every animal receives the care they need, and with 501c3 status, we can grow sustainably to meet the increasing demand for animal rescue.
