Lucinda, my mother-in-law, has been in the hospital for a week and a half after suffering two strokes—possibly more. As a result, she has no control of the right side of her body and is almost nonverbal. This has been an incredibly difficult time for our family, both emotionally and financially. Every day, we travel back and forth to the hospital to be by her side, and the costs for gas and food are adding up quickly. Now, we’ve learned that the hospital wants to charge a significant amount for her to go to an inpatient home, and unfortunately, insurance won’t cover this expense.
We are doing everything we can to support Lucinda and make sure she gets the care she needs, but the financial strain is overwhelming. We’re reaching out to our friends, family, and community for help. Any support you can offer—no matter how small—will go directly toward covering these urgent expenses and making sure Lucinda gets the best possible care. Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity during this challenging time.
