Greetings, friends and future friends.
For many years, the band Lucinda Lane has been working on its unique musical menu of what it has called its "Indiebossajazztwang" hybrid sound, with original songs by guitarist Joe Woodard sung by the lovely Nicole Lvoff, here in Santa Barbara, California. Plans to record a debut album have been waylaid by various forces, including the pandemic lapse, but finally, we are deep into production on what looks like an 11-track album.
We have greatly appreciated input from some of the finest, friendliest musicians in the region, including bassists Randy Tico and Jim Connolly, pianist/accordionist Zach Gill, keyboardist Brian Mann, pedal steel guitarist Bill Flores, saxist Tom Buckner, trumpeter Nate Birkey and ever-adaptable drummer Austin Beede, with more in the wings.
We are close to finishing the project, but now looking at the finishing phase, with mixing, post-production and design for an intended CD release (and possibly vinyl?) along with the usual digital release. Any $ help would be greatly appreciated towards our goal of finally putting our music out into the known world.
We thank you massively for whatever help you might offer.
love, Joe and Nicole (and the entity that is Lucinda Lane)
