Support Lucien's Fight Against Cancer

Donation protected
Back in May of 2023, just before graduating college, Lucien was diagnosed with testicular cancer. Thankfully, with support from an amazing medical team, family, and friends, he had the mass removed just a week before walking his graduation ceremony and receiving his degree. He was then placed on a strict monitoring regimen of receiving CT scans, X-rays, and tumor marker blood work every four months to make sure nothing else appeared.

In November of 2023, that month's CT scan revealed a 3 cm nodule that had appeared in his right pelvis. As a precaution, he had a second surgery scheduled and performed in January of 2024, inserting five incisions across his torso to remove the node and any nearby lymph nodes the cancer may spread towards. The nodule was tested and came back malignant, and after many follow-up appointments, his surgeon suggested a third surgery to remove 58 additional lymph nodes across his torso and pelvis that the cancer could spread to. This surgery was performed in March of 2024, and after successfully removing all 58 and inserting six more incisions, two nodes came back positive for traces of cancer cells, keeping Lucien on the strict CT scanning regimen with an ever-looming possibility of Chemo if anything ever were to pop up again.

Now, in July of 2024, a fourth surgery is being performed to drain a presumably post-operative 15 cm fluid collection formed in his right pelvis. The fluid will be tested for cancer cells as a precaution, and is predicted to be non-invasive and low pressure. A fourth surgery is not something his family was prepared for financially, on top of the various bills, insurance premiums, and other life expenses that Lucien is experiencing as a recent college graduate trying to start his career.

The funds from this will go directly to the medical expenses Lucien's family is handling, as well as any expenses we may encounter into the near future, depending on the test results of this next procedure. His mother was also recently diagnosed with Lyme disease, of which the medical treatments have been another major financial burden on his family. We are overwhelmed with gratitude and appreciation for our friends, family, partners, and jobs that have all helped us through this hard time, and are ever grateful for any support we may receive. Thank you.
