On November 17, 2025, Lucien was admitted to Torrance hospital after experiencing several days of persistent vomiting. In the weeks that followed, his condition required a transfer to Long Beach Millers Children's Hospital. There, an MRI scan revealed a tumor in his brain. Lucien has since been diagnosed with Level 3 Ependymoma, located on the fourth ventricle of his brain. At just 2 years old, Lucien now faces the difficult road of undergoing radiation therapy to reduce the risk of the tumor returning. This treatment plan involves daily radiation sessions over the course of two months, which must be administered at Loma Linda. The costs associated with this intensive care are significant, and Lucien’s parents must remain in Loma Linda throughout the treatment period.

Currently, Lucien’s parents are dedicating all their energy to ensuring his comfort and supporting him through frequent doctor appointments. As a result, they are unable to work during this time. Lucien’s radiation treatments are scheduled to begin on January 5, 2026 consistently Monday through Friday for a duration of 2 months. Any financial support you can provide will be deeply appreciated and will help ease the burden on Lucien’s family as they navigate this challenging period. The funds will be used to help with hotel cost and any additional bills his parents insurance will not cover for the two months of ongoing radiation.
