Support Lucia's Road to Recovery

Hello All, Some of you may have heard that my niece, Lucia had total freak accident on 11/1 and fell while playing at a friends house, which resulted in a badly broken hip. She had an emergency surgery this morning 11/2 around 8am. Everything went well and she has been resting.

Luci is only 12 and her mom (my sister, Lisa) will need to be her caregiver nearly 24/7, for at least the next 3 months. Along with medical bills that aren’t covered by insurance, they will incur thousands of dollars in costs for transportation to and from doctors appointments, physical therapy etc. and living in New York City they don’t own a vehicle so all of their transportation will likely need to be private (Ubers, Lyfts, taxis) because Luci will not be able to put ANY weight on her hip while she heals. Additionally, as we all know when life gets tough, cooking is the last thing we want to do, so food costs will also increase. (Meals are also appreciated-with food sensitivities in mind- please reach out to Lisa personally if you want to make her family a meal). At this time the biggest financial concern is that Lisa will need to take time off of work to care for Luci. Any donation is appreciated while they navigate through Luci’s road to recovery.
