Support Lucia Bogacki's Battle Against Cancer

Donation protected
Hi,

My name is Lucia Bogacki. I am a wife, mother, and homemaker. I am married to the love of my life, Jacob, and we recently celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary. We have three beautiful children: Arlen, 17; Marcus, 15; and Corrina, 13. I have recently been diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer, to which there is no cure. After 3 years of a lot of traumatic events and lack of care, many scans led to finding cancer not only in the breast but in the liver and bones too. Currently, I need all the help and support I can get to see me through this challenging time.

In May of 2022, at 39 years old, I found a hardened area in my right breast. Not too long after, I started having painful burning sensations that would wake me up at night. Not too long after discovering this, I went to get a thermogram and 3D ultrasound. A mass was found at the 3 o’clock position, and it was recommended that I should get a biopsy. Fast forward to January of 2023, I found myself at a Kaiser Hospital to receive the biopsy. The doctor who performed the biopsy rushed and proceeded without me being fully anesthetized. The results of the biopsy came back as fibroadenoma, at which point Kaiser said I was fine and washed their hands of my situation. As 2023 progressed, the pain and burning only intensified. In early 2024, the pain and burning that I would feel intensified, and I returned to thermogram 3 months apart and 3D ultrasound to investigate why this was happening. It was discovered that the mass had grown. Around the same time, it was discovered that Kaiser biopsied the wrong site. It was recommended that I seek consultation with a surgeon. When I met with the surgeon, she wanted to perform an unguided biopsy in the office. Due to my previous traumatic experience with the first biopsy at Kaiser, I was too fearful to proceed with an unguided biopsy. I decided to go home and research all my options.

After a lot of investigating, I found out about the Cancer Center for Healing in Irvine, CA. In October of 2024, my husband and I spent a week at the Center. I underwent a lot of testing to determine if what I had was indeed cancer. In January 2025, I agreed to have another biopsy after a PET scan determined that the breast cancer had spread to the liver, bones, and left breast. The results came back as ER/PR positive, HER2 negative invasive ductal carcinoma. Also, in January, my husband and I returned to the Cancer Center for Healing to begin preliminary treatment to support my body. After consultation with an oncologist, she recommended that I get the masses on my liver biopsied to stage the cancer. I now received the devastating news that it was confirmed stage 4.

I will soon begin treatments, consultations, and supplements at the Cancer Center for Healing, which will require lodging, food, transportation, and moving away from home for extended periods of time. Unfortunately, this out-of-network care will not be covered by insurance. This first phase of care will require 12 weeks.

At this time in my life, I need to dedicate my entire focus and energy to healing, and not having the added stress of financing my treatment will help me do that. Please share this fundraiser as far as possible with family, friends, and the community at large. Every little bit will help during this challenging time. All the proceeds will go directly to funding the present and future lifelong treatments. Zelle and Venmo payments are preferred. For Zelle, contact Nicole or use the QR code below. Venmo payments can be made to @Lucia-Bogacki.

Thank you sincerely for your support in my healing journey!
Lucia
