Lucas, a dedicated colleague and friend, is facing an incredibly challenging time. He was recently diagnosed with skin cancer on his back, and during further investigation, doctors discovered high-risk tumors in his stomach and near the beginning of his intestines. These lesions have the potential to become malignant, and his current treatment plan includes chemotherapy and radiotherapy to shrink them before surgery. Thankfully, Lucas has been responding well to treatment so far, and the goal is to continue over the next several months until the tumors can be surgically removed as safely as possible.

Lucas’s motivation comes from his family—he and his wife have a 9-month-old baby, and they are expecting their second child in August. He wants nothing more than to get through treatment, recover, and be present, healthy, and strong for his wife and children. The road ahead includes several more months of treatment, specialist appointments, exams, imaging, medications, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, hospital costs, surgery, and recovery afterward. Throughout all of this, Lucas continues to be an absolute rockstar at work, managing these challenges with incredible strength and resilience.
