Support Luca's Recovery and Ease Vet Costs

At the end of April, Jessica and Josh Wiles took their seven-year-old Bernese Mountain dog, Luca, to the emergency vet after a weekend of him vomiting and not wanting to eat. He received multiple tests and scans which resulted in an emergency surgery where Luca had a (thankfully benign) mass and a portion of his colon removed.

Following surgery, he started eating again and it was believed that he had made improvements; however, things took a turn for the worse and Luca ended up with more tests/scans, another emergency surgery, and many more nights in the veterinary ICU where he had multiple drains and tubes in place.

Jessica and Josh were determined to do all that they could to bring Luca back home and spent as much time as possible with him while he was in the ICU, in between juggling full-time jobs, the chaos of raising two adorable little boys who have interests in everything, and Jessica attending graduate school to become a nurse practitioner.

Thankfully, they were able to bring Luca home this Monday!

While ecstatic that their family of 6, which also includes another Bernese Mountain dog - Mishka, was complete again, they are now left with steep veterinary bills.

They are amazing people who are raising their boys to turn into the same, and could use a little extra help during this rough time.

Veterinary costs are beyond steep, as any pet owner can attest to, and while things like Care credit exist, they only cover a fraction of what the total bill for something like this can amount to.

I'm encouraging anyone who knows them, or who has a dog of their own who they would do absolutely anything for, to donate to this loving family to help ease some worry of their financial burden.
