I never imagined I would be in this position.

My name is Lucas Xavier, and I live in Arnold, Missouri. I am a single father of two sets of twins, and I am going through the hardest moment of my life.

After buying my home two years ago, my child support payments increased. Shortly after that, I lost one of my jobs for several months. I applied to more than 17 jobs, but didn’t receive a single interview. Despite being careful with my finances for years, everything began to fall apart faster than I could recover.

Even though I did everything I could, I fell behind financially.

I am now four months behind on my mortgage and at real risk of losing my home.

I am also several months behind on child support, something that has never happened to me before in over seven years.

Because of this, my driver’s license may be suspended, which would make it even harder to work and rebuild.

Today, I work two jobs and wake up every day at 4 a.m. to provide for my children and maintain stability for them.

I don’t have family here.....it’s just me and my kids.

This situation has been deeply humbling and emotionally exhausting. I am tired, but I am still fighting. Asking for help is one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, but I am doing it because I refuse to give up on my children or our future.
