Dear friends and supporters of thought-provoking art and culture! We are reaching out to you for support to help with the cost of transporting artists work to this year’s Les Sculptures Refusées exhibition.
Les Sculptures Refusées is a large and inspiring outdoor sculpture event held at the historic Quarantine Station, located in the stunning North Head Sanctuary precinct at the entrance of Sydney Harbour.
Les Sculptures Refusées began in 2020 as an alternative selection to Sculpture by the Sea, Bondi.
Inspired by the Salon de Refusés, it aims to create new opportunities for artists to exhibit work in one of the region's most important environmental ecologies alongside the rich cultural heritage of the historic Quarantine Station.
Les Sculptures Inc. is a not-for-profit artist led organization supporting artists and run solely by volunteers.
Our vision is to be recognized as one the most innovative arts fringe organisations in NSW that keeps true to the spirit of renowned rebellious exhibitions. We are also committed to developing an artist led experience to ensure the best possible outcome for everyone involved.
This year we have the opportunity to showcase the work of some artists from interstate as well as across NSW. However, these artists need support to transport their work to Quarantine Station and as a volunteer organisation we cannot provide that kind of help.
One of the artists this fundraising campaign will support is the wonderful Jasmine Mansbridge from Hamilton, Victoria. To transport her work will cost $3600 return.
Can you help us bring some astonishing art to an amazing location?
Every contribution will make a big difference!
