Support LoveAnn's Road to Recovery

LoveAnn unfortunately had a stroke on Saturday, June 22 while in Las Vegas. She was there by herself at the time to attend a conference. Andyn, our eldest daughter, and I were en route to meet up with her to begin our summer vacation. The plan was to after the conference to have the whole family, the other three of our children, meet in Orlando. That is not going to happen.

We want to begin by thanking the amazing outpour of support that our family has received during this time. Your messages, phone calls, and contact have been uplifting and have brought joy in this time of difficulty.

LoveAnn on Saturday was not able to move her left leg, arm or hand. Her speech was very slurry and her face was droopy.

Sunday, June 23rd she was able to rock her left leg back and forth, move her left shoulder and her speech was getting better.

Monday, June 24th, she had leg movement and stood up with a walker and assistance from therapists!

Tuesday, June 25th, took seven steps with the walker and assistance. Her speech is getting better and she describes her speech as being a "drunk sailor"!

Today, June 26th, the day we should have been flying to relax and have family time, she walked with assistance 15 steps, used the bathroom and is very tired. She is determined to work and improve!

She will need acute rehabilitation and at this time we are being told at least 30 days. Any donations will assist in unexpected expenses such as lodging, food, airfare, etc.
