In an instant, the MacMeekin family's world was changed forever.
On May 2, 2026, Bob MacMeekin was tragically shot and killed in his home, protecting his wife, daughter, and young grandchildren.
He was taken from those who loved him most - leaving behind a grieving wife, 2 children, 6 grandchildren, extended family, and a community that is heartbroken by this loss. Bob was more than a husband, father, grandfather, and brother - He was the kind of person people could count on, who put family first in everything he did - hardworking, dependable, generous, and deeply devoted to those he loved & his broader community.
As the family navigates this painful time, we hope to ease some of the financial burdens they will face in the months and years ahead. This fundraiser will provide support for immediate and future needs, including everyday living expenses, multiple lost incomes, housing and time for the MacMeekin family to focus on healing without the added weight of financial stress.
Bob's work as a lawyer was the financial foundation for his family.
