Update:
Hello everyone,
As many of you know, Lana has fought tirelessly since her diagnosis, with so much strength every step of the way. All while still continuing to be an amazing mom to her beautiful babies and wife to her husband Robert as much as she was able to. Unfortunately, her condition has progressed, and hospice care is now the best option to ensure she is as comfortable and supported as possible.
Lana has chosen to transition to home hospice care so she can spend her remaining time in her own home, surrounded by the love of her family and friends.
I am resharing this account in hopes of raising additional funds so that her husband, Robert, can remain by her side and be present for their four children as much as possible during this incredibly difficult time.
If you are able, please consider donating. If you’re not able to donate, sharing this post would mean so much. And if you can keep Lana and her family in your prayers for comfort, peace, and a pain-free transition, we would be deeply grateful. God has the final word, and we continue to pray and ask you to also pray for a MIRACLE.
Thank you for your love and support.

This will be one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write, but I am starting this account to benefit my best friend of 25 years, Lana Ayla Smith, for medical expenses & a long journey ahead.

First and foremost, Lana is an amazing wife to her husband Robert, & mother to 4 beautiful babies, Summer 13, Sonny 5, Slater 4, & Silas a few days shy of 1 year. She is a loving sister, daughter, niece, and the best friend anyone can have. I know that so many people can attest to that. An amazing human being. She is only 34 years young. She attended dental hygiene school and became a registered dental hygienist all while being a mom of 3. A truly exemplary family oriented person.

To give a little backstory, Lana went to several PCP’s and GI doctors since this past February in regards to stomach pain. They told her it could be IBS or even pelvic floor dysfunction. A few days ago she went into the emergency room with stomach pain where they did an endoscopy. She was given news that no one ever wants to hear. Stage 4 stomach cancer and 4-7 months to live. (God has the last word)

She is currently admitted at MD Anderson in Houston, Texas. We are NOT giving up hope that she WILL beat this! However the road to healing ahead is a long one and unfortunately, being sick is expensive. Her husband Robert has had to miss work to be by her’s and their babies’ side.
If you are not able to help with a monetary donation, please help with putting her in your prayers. Miracles happen and we are praying hard.
Thank you so much in advance and God bless.
