On July 26th, my mom, Lourdes, had a heart attack, and a blood clot then traveled to her brain and caused a massive stroke. She is still unable to speak, swallow, walk, or care for herself. For her to only be sixty years old and going through this is heartbreaking for me to see, and I can't imagine how frightening it must be for her. Recovery for her is going to be a long and hard journey. In the meantime, I am doing everything I can to take care of her and also take care of matters on her behalf, including her financial responsibilities.

Anyone that knows my mom and me knows that we are both stubborn and will go out of our way to not ask for help. But now, I'm in a position where there is no certainty about her future, and all I know about mine for certain at this point is that I will spend the foreseeable future taking care of her. So now I am asking for support. First and foremost, I ask for as many prayers as possible for her. Secondly, any financial support in this uncertain time that will allow me to continue to provide the best medical and personal care for her would be greatly appreciated. If you don't have the means to donate, sharing my mom's story would also be greatly appreciated.
