At just 5 years old, Louis has faced challenges far beyond his years with courage and resilience.

Louis’s world was forever changed at just 2 years old when he was diagnosed with a rare form of eye cancer. Despite undergoing surgery to remove his eye and enduring a year of intensive treatments, Louis faced it all with incredible bravery.

With his resilient spirit, Louis adapted to life with one eye—learning to smile again, ride his bicycle, and go to school with his friends. He finds joy in simple pleasures like riding his bike in the park, playing with car toys, and challenging himself in chess.

But now, instead of enjoying these cherished moments, Louis faces the toughest battle of his young life.

However, life has presented another heartbreaking challenge. Recently, Louis began experiencing unexplained fatigue and fevers. A visit to the emergency department at the Children’s Hospital revealed the devastating diagnosis of Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), a severe form of blood cancer. This new battle requires intensive and prolonged treatment, including rounds of chemotherapy, hospital stays, and medical procedures over the next two years.

The road ahead for Louis and his parents is a long and uncertain journey, accompanied by financial pressures as his parents have to take time off work to care for him and cover the extensive costs of treatment and long-term recovery.

Giúp đỡ bé Louis trong Cuộc Chiến với Bệnh Ung thư máu

Chúng tôi xin gửi lời chia sẻ từ trái tim mình với một hy vọng mãnh liệt, để kể câu chuyện về một cậu bé nhỏ phi thường – Louis Trần. Hiện đang điều trị tại bệnh viện nhi Jim Pattison ở Saskatoon, SK, Canada.

Thế giới của Louis đã mãi mãi thay đổi khi em chỉ mới 2 tuổi, lúc được chẩn đoán mắc một dạng ung thư mắt hiếm gặp. Em đã phải chịu đựng nhiều nỗi đau khi các Bác sĩ đã phải mổ đi mắt trái vĩnh viễn của em & tiến hành hoá trị suốt một năm dài.

Với tinh thần kiên cường, Louis đã cố gắng cuộc sống mới với chỉ một bên mắt – em học cách mỉm cười trở lại, học đi xe đạp, và đến trường vui đùa cùng bạn bè. Em tìm thấy niềm vui trong những điều giản dị như đạp xe trong công viên, chơi đồ chơi ô tô, và chơi cờ vua.

Nhưng giờ đây, thay vì tận hưởng những khoảnh khắc quý giá đó, Louis phải đối mặt với trận chiến khác còn khốc liệt hơn trong cuộc đời của mình. Khi 5 tuổi, Louis bắt đầu sốt cao liên tục phải đi cấp cứu. Thì các Bác sĩ tại Bệnh viện Nhi thông báo một tin đau lòng: em bị bệnh Ung thư máu rất nguy hiểm( Leukemia).

Sức khoẻ em giảm sút nghiêm trọng, phải truyền máu, truyền thức ăn qua đường ống và hoá trị liên tục. Ba Mẹ em đếm từng ngày với những niềm hy vọng nhỏ nhoi. Ước mơ em được khoẻ mạnh, được đến trường như bao bạn nhỏ khác giờ chỉ còn là mơ ước.

Con đường phía trước với Louis và Ba Mẹ của em là chuỗi ngày dài và đầy bất định kèm theo những áp lực tài chính khi Ba Mẹ em phải nghỉ làm để chăm sóc em và các chi phí điều trị và phục hồi sức khoẻ trong nhiều năm tới.
