Hello, my name is Louise P. Whittemore, and I am raising funds to support the official launch of the Louise P. Whittemore Scholarship Foundation. An organization inspired by my personal journey and my lifelong commitment to helping children and families access educational opportunities.
Growing up between Liberia and Ghana during difficult times, I witnessed how lack of resources can limit a child’s future. I was blessed with relatives and people who helped me along the way, and that support changed my life. Now, I want to create that same impact for children who need it most.
The Foundation provides scholarships, school transportation support, after-school programs, school supplies, tutoring, and youth development initiatives in underserved communities. Every dollar raised will go directly toward helping students stay in school, complete their education, and reach their full potential. The funds from this campaign will go directly toward supporting our programs, which include:

Helping students stay in school by supporting partial or full tuition needs.
• School Transportation Support
Providing transportation fees so students never have to miss school because of distance or cost.
• After-School Programs
Creating safe, structured spaces for learning, mentorship, and personal development.
• School Supplies & Educational Materials
Making sure students have books, uniforms, backpacks, and learning tools.
• Tutoring & Academic Support
Helping struggling students catch up and succeed through personalized learning support.
• Technology Access Initiatives
Providing laptops, tablets, and digital resources to students with limited access.
• Youth Empowerment & Life Skills Programs
Encouraging leadership, confidence, and personal growth.
