Support Louie's Journey to Heal
Donation protected
I am Sally Garibaldi Rather and my soulful and loving brother, Louie Garibaldi, suffered a serious stroke in November 2024. By January, he had made an almost complete recovery only to be stricken again. Doctors found that the stroke was very near the brain stem, and he is having repeated strokes. Louie made another strong comeback after inpatient rehab at an acute brain injury hospital but is once again having stroke symptoms. Turns out that it's not a stroke after all. Where Louie was affected on his right side he is now experiencing stroke like symptoms on the left side of his body. In addition to prayers, Louie needs help with medical needs that his insurance won't cover. He needs to continue at the acute brain injury rehab to keep re-training his brain to overcome the paralysis until he is healed, if it's in God's grace, or when the neurologists can diagnose him and figure out how to treat his condition. Please help me to help this precious brother of mine in his valiant journey to live each day to his best. Despite the grim situation, Louie does not complain or feel sorry for himself. He is motivated and works tenaciously with his therapists. He is going to have to learn to walk again but in the meantime if he can just get to transferring himself with a little assistance for balance, he would be grateful but he needs specialized therapy to keep his body working while he is waiting for a diagnosis. That is how humble and accepting Louie is but he's still a fighter and the Lord is his strength. Your donation will also help us pay for an extensive consultation with neurology at UCLA. A little bit of help by a lot of friends can really make a difference to make life a little easier for Louie and his wife during this difficult time. I would be forever grateful for anything you could give.
Please share and like my late husband Jack Rather would say, let's circle the wagons around Louie Garibaldi!
