Support Louie's Fight Against Paralysis

Hi my name is Louie! I am a 3.5 year old French Bulldog. I am the happiest little boy, who loves to play with my friends, take walks at the park, go swimming, and cuddle with everyone. Everyone I meet tells me how friendly and funny I am, they are too nice! Unfortunately, on April 11th I was rushed to the Emergency Vet (they know me there because I like to give my mom lots of little scares so I wasn't nervous going in). They kept me overnight and let me go home with my mom on the 12th. I was feeling fine! I could use all my legs, I was walking, going the bathroom on my own, I was doing it all. Then overnight something happened, it scared me a lot. I wasn't able to use my back legs at all... I was a sad and scared boy. Mom called the Emergency Vet back and next thing I knew I was in the car rushing to a different Vet (one that I have never been to before.. I was scared, and my mom was crying so much I didn't know what was going on). Next thing I knew I was put under and had spinal surgery on April 13th (at least that is what mom tells me). My diagnosis from the vet is: Intervertebral Disc Extrusion L3-4, Right L3-L5 Hemilaminectomy, Paraplegic, Deep Pain Negative. I am not sure what all of those words even mean but I know I can't go to the bathroom on my own and I can't use my back legs. It has been a little over 3 weeks and I have not had any progress. Mom keeps trying things with me and I am trying to get used to this new normal but it is so frustrating. She keeps telling me what an expensive doggo I am (sorry mom I don't mean it!!) she told me insurance has been maxed out and that all these costs are out of pocket. This includes the spinal surgery and the follow up vet appointments. She said I start acupuncture next week and hopes I will regain my continence. I also have to do PT and she does aqua therapy with me. I am really trying everything I can to get back to normal, but I need some help because all of this is really expensive. I just want to get my little leggies back!!
