I am Lou Zolotor and I am asking, begging for your help today. Through an odd circumstance (Landlord kicked out of nursing home), we lost our home in 2022 - we were forced to find housing that was double our previous amount with no rise in pay. Things have been tough, but doable. We incurred a deep debt to payday loans to make this work but we were paying them off one by one.

In March of 2024, I was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure. This has led to multiple hospital stays culminating in my having double bypass surgery. The road to recovery is long but I am making slow progress. Unfortunately, out-of-pocket costs have drained the little savings we did have and I have burned through all my leave (donated or otherwise). This has led to short paychecks and negative balances, putting us further behind. We are now facing eviction on top of everything else.

I am asking you to help us get out from under - that's all, no more. Just a chance to clear the books and to be able to focus on recovery from heart failure instead of constant worry and stress.
