My family and I are currently walking through a challenging season regarding my health. I was recently diagnosed with a cancerous tumor in my breast, and another in my lymph nodes. This diagnosis and the upcoming treatment path has caused us to need to navigate a lot of difficult things. I’ve had to stop working and since late October, Chris has used up all his vacation time to care for me and take over all the household responsibilities—caring for our kids, shopping, cooking, and more. He was hoping to try to return to work soon but I ended up back in the hospital this week and it looks like with everything happening he needs more time off.

Chris is planning to take a medical leave of absence so he can continue to obviously be with the kids and support me, especially as I begin treatment in the hospital next week. After another week in the hospital, I should be able to go home, but Chris will need to drive me daily for about a month for radiation. After that, I’ll start the next phase of treatment. We’ve had many friends ask how they can help, and after much thought, we decided to create this GoFundMe to help us through this first part of our journey.

The funds raised will help cover our living expenses while Chris is on leave for the next 12 weeks, medical costs that aren’t covered by insurance, medical supplies I need, and other therapies that will help keep my body strong during treatment. Any support you can give means the world to us and will help us as we begin to navigate this healing journey.

The Doctors feel very positive that this can be cured if we act right away. It is a lot to take in but I am very hopeful and confident. Before I went into the hospital I got Isaiah 41:10-13, which greatly encouraged me. This is my Word:

“Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’ “Behold, all those who were incensed against you Shall be ashamed and disgraced; They shall be as nothing, And those who strive with you shall perish. You shall seek them and not find them— Those who contended with you. Those who war against you Shall be as nothing, As a nonexistent thing. For I, the Lord your God, will hold your right hand, Saying to you, ‘Fear not, I will help you.’” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭41‬:‭10‬-‭13‬
