My name is Nicole and my 82-year-old grandma, Lorna Williams, works at Lowe's. On Sunday, the 22nd of February, she fell and was taken by ambulance from work to the hospital, where she learned she had a broken hip. Lorna has always been healthy and independent, working hard because social security doesn't cover all her bills. She only took a vitamin a day and rarely needed help, but this accident has changed everything for her and our family.
After surgery, Lorna is now at a rehabilitation center, making the best of her situation. She’s even looking forward to bingo and social events to help her stay positive during recovery. My grandma truly has a heart of gold and would do anything for anybody if she could. Her kindness and generosity have touched so many lives, and now she needs a little help herself.
Our family is pitching in as much as we can to support her, however, my grandpa moved in with us two years ago due to his own heart problems and needs assistance as well. Lorna will face financial hardship because she cannot work during her recovery. We want to make sure she doesn’t have to return to work before she’s ready. Any donation or prayer for her future is a blessing, and we are deeply grateful for any support during this difficult time.
