We are raising money for Lorna’s Indomitable Spirt Award. This annual award will be given to a graduating New Rochelle High School Special Education student who has persevered and overcome challenges. Lorna Ferrara worked with special education students at William B. Ward Elementary school for 20 years. Lorna was respected and loved by her colleagues, and was dedicated to her students’ learning and development. This award marks Lorna’s sustained contribution to the school community, and a student’s ability to strive for academic and social success throughout high school. A special thanks goes to Cidalia Vincitore and Mary Armiento for creating this award in honor of Lorna.
