Support Laurie’s Urgent Hip Surgery

Laurie needs our help! Laurie is the barn manager at a large horse farm and has been for several decades now. Laurie is one of the hardest workers you will ever meet and has dedicated her life to the horses in her care. I have witnessed Laurie’s commitment to her work and the horses for many years as I ride at this farm. Laurie’s work is very physical, so you can imagine the difficulties she has been facing at work as her arthritis worsened, causing bone deterioration. Laurie never complains, though. Never.

Laurie had a knee replacement several months ago. Her recovery has been particularly difficult because, as she recently learned, a cyst in her hip ruptured, leaving a hole in it! Laurie now needs a hip replacement — and needs it right away. The problem is that Laurie used all of her paid sick leave for the knee replacement surgery and recovery. To be able to pay her bills during the 6-8 weeks that she will recovering from this next surgery, Laurie needs some help. Any donation you can make is much appreciated. Thanks!
