Support Lori's Family After Her Passing
Donation protected
***Update***
After fighting as hard as she could, my mom passed away peacefully in her sleep yesterday evening on February 1st. Despite our best efforts, the cancer spread at such a rapid rate that she wasn’t able to withstand treatment. Her health quickly declined at the end of January and the best thing we could do for her was allow her to go comfortably. I spent the last two days of her life at her bedside so she wouldn’t be alone.
This GoFundMe will remain active to help my dad and I adjust through this difficult time. Any donations received will go towards living expenses and any further medical bills we may receive.
To those of you who have donated in the past, thank you. Previous donations have helped ensure that rent was paid, we had groceries, and various support costs for my mom were covered over the last month. I genuinely don’t know how long we would have lasted without that help and I’m incredibly grateful.
My dad and I are absolutely heartbroken. At this moment in time I don’t know what else to say. My mom was so very loved and she will be missed dearly by everyone around her.

On December 13th, 2024, my mother Lori was diagnosed with melanoma after privately struggling with the disease for months. After her first trip to the hospital she was able to return home for a couple weeks, only to have to return to the hospital after experiencing complications from her diagnosis. It was then that we discovered that the melanoma has began to spread to other parts of her body.
My mom is beloved by all who know her. She’s funny, loving, and always puts others before herself. Those who are close to her know just how much she loves her full-glam makeup, Disney Parks, and her Snowshoe Siamese, Percy.
For the last decade my mom has been the sole provider for her disabled husband despite her own financial struggles. With her in the hospital, this puts our family in a precarious situation with both living expenses and future medical expenses that her diagnosis is sure to accumulate.
My mom has been an important part of the Santa Clarita Valley community for decades. She’s been a beloved fixture of the Newhall & Carl Ct. Starbucks location since it opened and has served thousands of cups of coffee in her time there. If there’s one thing I know about my mom, it’s that everyone who meets her immediately adores her, and I humbly ask for that love to be carried here.
Any donations received here will be put towards bills and living expenses, as well as any out of pocket medical expenses that may accrue while she is receiving treatment. My mom is one of the strongest people I know and we’re hoping for the best possible outcome. Thank you.
