I’m starting this GoFundMe for my friend Lori. Back in 2006, she was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and told she only had a 10% chance of survival. Lori told her doctors she would be that 10% — and she was right. She beat the odds, overcame cancer, and even graduated from PA school that same year.

Unfortunately, the treatments that saved her life have caused some serious long-term side effects. The high dose of radiation she received back then has led to radiation cystitis, a painful condition that causes heavy bleeding. Over the past month, she’s been in and out of the hospital several times and has had to take time off work to focus on getting better.

On top of everything, her medical bills are already over $5,000 and still growing. Lori is one of the kindest, strongest people — always the first to help anyone in need. Now it’s our turn to help her.
