I’m writing this on behalf of my dear friend Lorien, a devoted mother, yoga teacher of over 20 years, and someone I’ve witnessed show up for others with incredible care, integrity, and resilience.

Right now, Lorien is navigating an ongoing custody matter that has created significant legal and financial pressure. At the same time, recent changes have substantially reduced her financial support, leaving her in a position where she is working to maintain basic stability while also securing the legal representation she needs to move forward.

Like many of us, Lorien has always done her best to handle things on her own. But this is one of those moments where the situation has outgrown what one person can reasonably carry without support.

I’ve watched her continue to show up for her clients, her community, and her children, even while facing immense personal stress. She is not someone who gives up. She is actively working to rebuild and expand her offerings, including sound healing, nature-based practices, and the early stages of her Future Loom project.

This fundraiser is here to help bridge a very real gap—so she can remain stable, supported, and resourced during this time.

Funds raised will go toward securing consistent legal representation, as well as helping Lorien cover essential living needs such as housing, food, and utilities while she navigates this transition.

We are asking for support so that she can continue moving forward with dignity, stability, and the ability to stay present for what matters most.

I want to express my deep gratitude to anyone who feels moved to support me during this time.

This has been a challenging and humbling chapter, and I am doing my best to meet it with as much clarity, strength, and care as I can. My intention is to continue showing up for my children, for my community, and for the work I feel called to offer in the world.

I am actively building and expanding my offerings, including nature-based yoga, breathwork and sound healing practices, corporate wellness events, and an upcoming yoga teacher training. I am also continuing to develop Future Loom, a project devoted to weaving together mindfulness, nature-based, and community-centered practices to support a more connected and healthy future for humanity and the earth.
