Last week, David Wayne Stephenson II died at the age of 28 following a long illness. He is survived by his wife Cat, siblings Justin, Sara, and Rachael, and his mother Loriann. He was proceeded in death by his father David Wayne.

In life David loved to DJ. Music was a passion and source of joy. He loved to cook for his family and dogs. David graduated from Tarleton State and he was a silver medal winning runner in UIL two years in a row in cross country and 2 mile.

David was deeply loved by all who knew him, but we are specifically sharing this fundraiser for his mother Loriann. She has worked with AISD since 2002, at Brooke Elementary and now Travis High School for almost 9 years.

Loriann joined the Kyle Flea Market as a vendor in 2002 as well and has been employed by the market since 2012. In both of her jobs she is an essential part of the community and as such we ask for the community to come together to support her in this painful time.

No amount of money can take away the grief of losing her son, but together we can remove some of the stress of bills from David’s long illness, his funeral, and give her some breathing room to focus on grieving, healing, and being present for her other children without the added stress of financial burden.

This support will help provide stability during the months ahead as the family navigates this loss together.
