Health Crisis: Breast Implant Illness Surgery 4 Lori Marie

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart as our beloved friend Lori Marie has faced a medical crisis that requires urgent attention and support. After years of enduring various debilitating symptoms, Lori was recently diagnosed with Breast Implant Illness, a condition linked to systemic health issues and autoimmune diseases in individuals with breast implants.

As outlined by Health Canada, Breast Implant Illness can manifest in a range of severe symptoms affecting multiple areas of the body. Lori has experienced many of these symptoms over the past decade, including breathing difficulties, brain fog, and chronic pain. The cumulative impact has taken an immense emotional and physical toll on Lori and her family, leaving her unable to work and causing significant financial strain.

After extensive medical consultations, Lori's doctors have concluded that her implants were the primary cause of her condition, especially given that Allergan, the manufacturer of her implants, had their licenses suspended and devices recalled due to safety concerns. Recognizing the critical need for intervention, Lori's medical team emphasized the importance and urgency of immediate surgical removal of the implants.

Earlier this month, Lori bravely underwent the necessary surgery despite the substantial financial burden, as her implants posed an imminent threat to her health and well-being. We are relieved to share that the procedure went well, and Lori is currently resting at home as she embarks on a lengthy recovery period of at least 4-6 weeks.

As the Bible reminds us in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, "You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body." Lori has put her trust in God's provision and faithfulness amidst this challenging journey.

However, the substantial costs of the surgery, required medications, and accrued debt due to her inability to work have placed Lori in a precarious financial situation. That is why we, her friends and community, are coming together to support her during this time of need.
