For Lori Lacroix Anzivino, the last few months have been incredibly difficult. About three months ago, she had kidney surgery, and since then, she has not been the same. She was having fevers that would spike multiple times a day. She could barely make it from her bed to the couch. Doctors at Milford weren’t doing their due diligence either. She had gone there multiple times and they always just sent her home. On Saturday, everything took a terrifying turn when she was rushed by ambulance to the hospital because she could not move and was in excruciating pain. It all happened to fast. One minute we were talking to her and we were laughing and not 20 minutes later she was being rushed to hospital. Doctors initially believed she may have had a blood infection because of her mitral valve prolapse, but before they could determine the cause, she coded and had to be life flighted to Brigham and Women’s in Boston. Once there, she underwent emergency surgery to remove blood from an aneurysm in her brain. She has a second smaller aneurysm they think can be handled by medication but doctors aren’t positive. Her vitals seem good but she is still unconscious, and our family is praying and hoping she wakes up soon.

She is the mother of 6 children and memé to 2 whom she absolutely adores. It’s been really hard on all of us. She’s not only our mother but she’s our best friend. She’s also a daughter. Her mother is absolutely devastated because of this. She’s a sister, to her brother Richard and a cousin to many.

Im starting this fundraiser to make it easier for the family to get back and forth to Boston. Her head was also shaved and if you know my mother you know she always took pride in her appearance. She is a hairdresser so we gotta make sure she’s looking good! So we’d like to be able to get her a really nice wig. Anything extra will go directly to her care when she wakes up.

I’d like to thank everyone for the support we’re all receiving. Love you all <3
