Lori Thiry is a mother, sister, aunt, and our dear friend and colleague. As a seasoned nurse who has provided 44+ years of expert and compassionate care to many, she now needs our help! Lori is well known by so many patients, their families and health care providers in the Fox Cities and Green Bay area. Having worked as a RN in the Emergency Department at St. Vincent Hospital, as a Flight Nurse for ThedaStar at Theda Clark Regional Medical Center, as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner for the Oneida Tribe of Indians, and currently for Prevea Urgent Care, she now finds herself as the patient in need.
Lori has been diagnosed with Stage 3 Ovarian Cancer. Lori’s only daughter, Andrea, works with the Department of Defense in Fort Eustis, Virginia and is a Sergeant in the US Army, serving as a Chinook Helicopter Flight Engineer with B. Co 5/159 GSAB. Andrea will soon be deployed briefly to Norway in service to our country. As a result, she will not be in Green Bay to help her mother with all the near-term challenges Lori’s health journey will bring. Lori’s sister, brother and friends have rallied around her to provide support and ask you for your consideration with her most urgent need.
Lori is not at full retirement age, and she is unable to work her position with Urgent Care. Lori’s financial health is and will continue to take a toll with her medical bills related to her cancer surgery and subsequent treatments. After receiving strong encouragement from her family and friends, Lori has agreed to our call for help with this Go Fund Me campaign. All funds raised will help Lori to recover lost wages and assist in funding necessary cancer treatment and medical expenses not covered by insurance.
Any donation is greatly appreciated to help this strong, amazing lady beat ovarian cancer. Please feel free to share this GoFundMe if you feel so inclined. Lori is ALL IN to win this fight!
More importantly, Lori asks for and welcomes your prayers.
Exodus 15:26 … “For I am the Lord who heals you.”
Thank you.
